Mohammadpur police OC Azizul Haq confirmed bdnews24.com of the arrest of the Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal president on Saturday night.
Alal was picked up from his Lalmatia house in Dhaka after 11pm, his aide Jahangir Alam said.
He was arrested on Oct 25 from the same house on similar charges.
On Friday, senior BNP leader Goyeshwar Chandra Roy was arrested over a clash between the BNP and ruling Awami League at Bakshibazar.
