"Stop talking like this. You should mind your language. We ask the Awami League president to speak properly," he told a students' convention in Dhaka on Thursday.

Fakhrul claimed that the government was 'irked' by the 'true facts' provided by Tarique.

He was speaking at the convention organised by the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) and the All Party Students' Union.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is also expected to speak at the convention in the afternoon.

Khaleda's elder son Tarique Rhaman, who is living in London since 2008, had been stirring up controversy over Bangladesh’s founding father for quite some time.

At a programme in London on Tuesday, Tarique labelled Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman a 'Razakar'.

The term Razakar is used to describe those who supported the Pakistani military in 1971 and perpetrated horrible atrocities against Bangalee civilians and freedom fighters.

Reacting to that on Wednesday, Sheikh Hasina said:"He behaves and talks like an animal. Unless he is controlled, people will teach him a lesson."
