“The entire country is now reeling under the fear of murder and enforced disappearance of people. No one is safe,” the BNP chairperson said on Wednesday unveiling the cover of a book written on her son Tarique Rahman at her Gulshan office.

“Father-mother, husband-wife... everyone is uncertain about the safety of their near and dear ones. The country wants to get over with this torture and repression,” she said.

“To come out of this situation, we need to bring change. Everyone will have to unite forgetting their differences. We shall bring the change and establish the rule of law in the country,” the BNP chief said.

Khaleda asked the party leaders to galvanise the organisation at the grassroots level.

She has been touring districts before announcing her proposed anti-government programmes demanding fresh elections under a non-partisan government.

The former prime minister will address a public rally in Comilla on Nov 29.

“The large gatherings in these rallies are an indication of the people’s desire to get rid of this government,” she added.
