There are chances that he will go after Eid, the Jatiya Party chief’s political and press secretary Sunil Subho Roy told bdnews24.com on Sunday.

The trip, however, was yet to be rescheduled, he added. The former military ruler was scheduled to travel to Delhi to discuss bilateral issues on Sunday.

Meanwhile, several media reports claimed Ershad, also special envoy to Prime Ministre Sheikh Hasina, had been admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) after falling ill around noon on Sunday.
But Jatiya Party Office Secretary Abul Hasan Jewel told bdnews24.com that Ershad had been to the hospital “for his regular health check-up”. He said Ershad “went home after that”.
“The two-day visit has been put off because of his health condition,” said Jatiya Party Secretary General Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu said. “The new date will be fixed after Eid.”
Bablu did not say what Ershad was suffering from.
