She made the call while speaking at an Iftar organised by pro-BNP Agriculturists’ Association of Bangladesh (AAB) in the capital on Thursday.
Khaleda said her party wanted to ‘restore’ people’s right to vote.
Teachers at agriculture universities and agriculturists joined the Iftar at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel.
The BNP chief said: “This movement is not for going to power, it’s for bringing back people’s lost right through establishment of a non-party caretaker government.”
“I would like to tell the professionals ‘let’s come down on the street together after the Eid.”
Highlighting the current situation in the country, Khaleda claimed the incumbent government did not represent the people.
“They (government) ascended to power illegally, by force. People of the country are annoyed with them,” she said.
Before the Iftar, Khaleda exchanged pleasantries with the guests.
