Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Johurul Haque turned down the petitions of the party’s Standing Committee member and joint secretary general on Sunday after a hearing.

Earlier, on Apr 20, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's court had rejected their bail prayers, though another Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas was given bail in the same case on health ground.
Rampura Police Station Sub-Inspector Al-Mamun had lodged the case with the Ramna police over Mansur’s death at Malibagh Chowdhurypara on Dec 29 last year during the BNP-led 18-Party Alliance’s ‘March for Democracy’ programme.
Mansur was the president of Dakshinkhan unit of Shibir, the student front of the Jamaat-e-Islami.
