Voting in 91 Upazilas of 43 districts will be held on Sunday.

“We want to tell the Election Commission that we will remember the shameless role it has been playing at the behest of the illegal rulers,” BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told a media briefing on Saturday.

He said that the government has ‘specific intentions’ behind the shuffling.

On Thursday, the home ministry issued transfer orders of six Superintendent of Police (SP)-level officials in Noakhali, Barisal, Jessore, Khulna, Lalmonirhat and Dhaka.
Five Upazilas of Khulna, three of Barisal, one of Noakhali and two of Jessore will have voting during the fourth round of the Upazila polls.
The BNP leader alleged appointment of presiding officers for poll centres was partial.
“Presiding officers are being appointed upon preferences of the Awami League supported candidates,” he said at the party’s Naya Paltan headquarters.
Rizvi came down hard on the Election Commission (EC) accusing it of sitting on the complaints of poll-violence lodged with it.
“But it (EC) takes no time to announce the results of these elections marred by fake voting,” he added.
