Prime Minister Khaleda Zia Monday night made a reshuffle in the cabinet making Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury minister without portfolio.

Dhaka, Apr 24 (BDNEWS) – Prime Minister Khaleda Zia Monday night made a reshuffle in the cabinet making Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury minister without portfolio.
Water Resource Minister Hafiz Uddin Ahmed was given the charge of Commerce Ministry with additional charge of the Water Resources Ministry.
Barkatullah Bulu has been made advisor to the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs in place of Commerce Ministry.
The change has been attributed to the staggering failure of Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury and Advisor Bulu in arresting the price spiral of essentials.
BDNEWS Patuakhali correspondent add: The Anti-Altaf group brought out procession in the town hearing the news of making Altaf Hossain Chowdhury minister without portfolio.
District BNP general secretary Snehangshu Sarker, pourasava chairman Mostaq and district JCD general secretary Ashraful Alam led separate processions in the town and distributed sweetmeats among their supporters
