Dhaka, Oct 30 (BDNEWS) – Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) president professor Dr AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury Sunday urged the 'honest people' of BNP to desert Tarique Rahman and Khaleda Zia without making any delay.
"Those who have attacked BDB leaders and workers in Noakhali and Joypurhat are not the members of real BNP, and that is why, I was not surprised at the attacks on BDB men. I am requesting the real people to leave the BNP of Tarique Rahman and Khaleda Zia," he said.
He was speaking as chief guest at a meeting and Iftar Mahfil organised by Bikalpa Chhatra Dhara (BCD) at KC Memorial Clinic in Dhaka.
Prof Chowdhury said the government who does not understand democracy will have to be toppled through mass movement.
Presided over by BCD secretary general Asaduzzaman Bachchu, the meeting was addressed, among others, by BDB leaders Zainal Abedin Khan, advocate Shah Alam Badal, advocate Sabera Begum and Dr Abuz Zaher, ATM Kamal and BCD convener Monwar Ali Rusho.
