Indian High Commission to host musical evening
The Indian High Commission in Dhaka will host a musical evening with prominent singer Fakir Alamgir on Oct 31.

The event will kick off at 6:30pm at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) in Gulshan-1, it said in a statement Monday.
Alamgir, who had no formal training in music, has blended folk music with western instruments.
He joined the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra during the 1971 Liberation War.
Friday's event is open to all and spectators have been requested not to bring any bags.
