Bangladeshi tourists second highest in India, after Americans but ahead of British
Bangladesh has replaced the UK as the second highest source of foreign tourist arrivals in India in 2014.

The number of tourists from Bangladesh went up to 942,562 in 2014 from 524,923 the previous year, according to Indian tourism ministry statistics.
In 2013, the number of tourist arrivals in India from Bangladesh was third highest after the US and the UK.
The US sent the highest number of tourists - nearly 1.2 million - to India in 2014.
Meanwhile, the total number of crossings only through Petrapole-Benapole land port immigration check post touched an all-time high of 1.2 million visitors in 2014.
