Bibi Russell visits Rajasthan to support artisans and crafts
Bangladesh’s prominent fashion designer Bibi Russell is visiting India’s Rajasthan state as a ‘state guest’.

Indian High Commission in Dhaka says the Rajasthan Khadi and Gram Udyog Board has invited her to help develop artisans and crafts.
Her visit is part of a Rajasthan government project to create a “modern and internationally appealing interpretation of heritage Rajasthani textiles”.
The High Commission says the visit will also give a boost to the community of weavers, dyers, printers and craftsmen of Rajasthan.
On April 26, the Rajasthan Khadi and Village Industries Board will hold a show in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, along with two other designers at which Bibi Russell’s works will also be showcased.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will be the Chief Guest.
Bibi Russell’s work has been internationally recognised and she has received several prestigious awards from around the world.
