Doctors demand arrest of those involved in recent attacks on two physicians in the district
The health ministry said High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla met the minister, Mohammed Nasim, on Wednesday and expressed his desire to speed up such projects.
India is helping with construction of medical colleges in Jamalpur, Patuakhali, Gazipur, Pabna, Cox’s Bazar, Jessore, and Noakhali and funding purchase of equipment in these colleges.
India is also supporting Bangladesh in setting up cobalt machine for cancer treatment.
The health minster described India as a “trusted friend” and hoped that New Delhi would continue to support Bangladesh as they did in 1971 War Of independence.
He also stressed on quick implementation of the MoU on traditional medicine signed between the countries.
