The aim of the programme is to provide basic health services to the people who do not have access to healthcare.
The Friendship says, with an application built on sophisticated algorithms, the ‘mHealth’ solution will facilitate the community health workers’ tasks like data collection and medical assessment.
It will also create and store patients’ records, notify automatically when patients need treatment, and increase accuracy of diagnosis by decreasing the margin of error.
The NGO recently conducted a five-day technical training on this mobile-based healthcare (mHealth) system in Gaibandha district.
At least 25 community health workers will now be able to take healthcare to the doorsteps of hard-to-reach people with the help of a basic mobile phone and the mHealth application.
The health workers were also provided with android mobile handsets, weighing scales, sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, measuring tapes, and thermometers.
