Chairman of the hospital Dr Ashok Seth says they are “determined to provide best quality services to patients outside Dhaka”.

He was speaking at a reception in Dhaka on Thursday night after inaugurating the hospital in Khulna earlier in the day.
Dr Seth, who received India’s fourth highest civilian award Padma Shri, is a well-known heart specialist in the region.
Many countries including Bangladesh send doctors to be trained under him.
A Khulna-based private healthcare company AFC Health Limited is the local partner in the venture.
Dr Seth said the hospital apart from offering state-of-the-art services would serve as a “platform of training”.
He said Bangladesh’s doctors would run the hospital even though leading specialists usually did not stay outside Dhaka.
Dr Seth, however, said he believed that “proper infrastructure and quality” could retain doctors at their workplace.
His hospital would train all doctors and nurses for the new Khulna facility.
He said he had been receiving Bangladesh’s doctors in New Delhi for training since 1998.
Dr Seth said their top specialists would visit the hospital every month.
“We created gold standard in India. And now we will create it here in Khulna.”
The hospital will also have an Electronic Intensive Care Unit (eICU) that will connect with the Delhi Escorts Heart Institute to provide an additional layer of critical care service.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim who was present at the reception said they would provide “all out” support to the hospital.
Hundreds of thousands of Bangladeshi patients take treatment abroad mainly in India, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
But leading hospitals coming to Dhaka for joint venture is rare.
Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Memorial Foundation and Malaysia’s leading healthcare facility KPJ Specialised Hospital and Nursing College recently jointly set up a facility in Gazipur.
