ICDDR,B’s warning on ORS purchase
The International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease and Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B) has warned consumers against buying its rice-based oral saline outside its centre.

It says its Employees’ Multipurpose Cooperative Society sells this life-saving saline only through their office housed at its diagnostic service centre and inside the Dhaka hospital.
ICDDR,B and its Dhaka hospital is located at Mohakhali.
“ICDDR,B cannot vouch for the authenticity of ORS packets not bought from these authorised outlets and strongly advises public against purchasing them”, the research-institute said in a media release.
The warning issued after what it said reports of fake ICDDR,B saline on the open market.
