Shakib Khan plans to marry after two years

Dhallywood heart-throb Shakib Khan is now “serious” about marriage. But it will still take two years to tie the knot.

The ‘numero uno’ of Bangladesh film world told a television show on Monday that he was planning to get married within two years but did not why it would still take so long.

But he scotched speculations about his relations with the popular heroine Apu Biswas.

“Its like Razzak-Kobori or Salman-Shabnur,” he replied, citing the most successful pairs of Bangladesh cinema.

“We just work together and are good friends,” Khan said.

Shakib and Apu have produced many hits in Bangladesh's dwindling cinema world.

Born in 1983, Khan made his debut in a Dhaka film in 1999.

He established himself as one of the most successful and highest paid actors in Bangladesh's film history after a few years.

He has been credited to bring back audience to the dying cinema industry. He won two national film awards for best actor and several other awards.

What kind of a wife is he looking for and what kind of a husband he will be ?

“Very caring”, the king of Dhallywood said, “I’ll be a good husband as I am a good boy to my parents”.

“My father is a good husband to my mother. I saw him how caring he is”.

He expects his wife will also “take care of him”.

Joya Ahsan, a popular actress who was with Shakib Khan at the show on Maasranga television endorsed him as “caring” and “dependable”.

They worked together in the film Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini, Full Length Love Story, in 2013.
