His family says they decided to keep him in the hospital for some more time, though he was out of danger.

Razzak’s younger son ‘Samrat’ briefed the media on his father’s health on Tuesday.

He said his father’s health was improving.

The decision was taken following advice by doctors, as the family did not want to take any risk, he said.

“He is gradually getting better. He is also talking to everyone.”

Samrat said Razzak wanted to know when he would be shifted to a cabin.

“We don’t want to rush,” he said, adding that Razzak was still on ventilators.

He also expressed his displeasure over a piece of news of his father’s death appearing in a section of the media.

United Hospital’s Head of Communications and Business Development Dr Segufta Anwar and actor Ferdous Ahmed were present at the media briefing.

Razzak, fondly called as ‘Nayak Raj’ (king of heroes), is still active in the showbiz.

The 73-year-old was taken to the United Hospital in Dhaka’s Gulshan on Friday following respiratory troubles.
