The results were published at midnight on Sunday, said Dhaka Education Board's College Inspector Md Ashfaqus Salehin.

“A total 1,249,848 names have been published in the first list. The result can be seen on www.xiclassadmission.gov.bd. Besides, the students were notified through mobile SMS,” he added.

Ashfaqus said that 95.03 percent students among the applicants were put into the first list. Results after second and third rounds of selection process will be published on Jun 13 and Jun 18.

The selected students are instructed to pay Tk185 through Teletalk, SureCash or Rocket by 11:59pm on Jun 8, to ensure their submission; otherwise, the nomination and admission application will be cancelled.

Like previous years, the college admission will be done on online this year as well.

BUET’s Institute of Information and Communication Technology and Computer Science and Engineering Department will help the colleges process the applications.

A total of 80.35 percent students have cleared the SSC and equivalent exams this year - 104,961 of whom are GPA 5 achievers

Around 14.31 million students - 727,688 male and 704,034 females – have passed the school-ending public exams.

However, 1,26,498 students did not apply for college admission.

Classes will start on Jul 1 after colleges admit students in two rounds, first between Jun 20 and 22 and second between Jun 28 and 29.
