Reform key to double-digit growth in Bangladesh : BIDA chief
Reforms in several areas were necessary for achieving double-digit growth, says the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) chief.

BIDA Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam told the Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD) on Tuesday that calling out what is bad in order to promote what is good for attracting both local and foreign investors was one of BIDA’s goals.
“We are the global leader in RMG,so we will use RMG strategies in other sectors.”
The BIDA chief also stressed on research for development of other potential sectors.
BIDA, he said, will do “everything possible” to elevate Bangladesh as the most attractive place for growth and investment for business.
“We are going to focus on three major areas and they include investment agencies, service providers and ecosystem for development.
"These will directly contribute to investment in private sector and reduce bureaucratic barriers.
“We are already working for establishing linkage for setting up new industries,” he said.
