Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal appointed Secretary to Bangladesh Investment Development Authority

Following the appointment of a chairman for the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), the government has now appointed a secretary to it with the goal of attracting foreign capital.

The public administration ministry through an order issued on Thursday entrusted on Additional Secretary on Special Duty Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal the responsibilities of BIDA Secretary.

Kamal was promoted from joint secretary to additional secretary in May. He has worked as additional director general at the Directorate of Primary Education and the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training.

The government recently constituted BIDA by merging the Privatisation Commission and the Board of Investment.

Kazi Aminul Islam was appointed executive chairman of the new state entity on Aug 29.
