Five-day annual tax fair starts Tuesday
The five-day annual tax fair is all set to begin in the city on Thursday with a slogan “we'll all make tax payment and make country self reliant”.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith will inaugurate the fair at the under-construction Agargaon National Board of Revenue (NBR) building in the capital.
The main objective of the fair is to encourage people pay their taxes as per government rule. Visitors will also able to learn some basic rules of filing tax return in the fair that will end on Nov 5.
The fair is organised every year but this year it is delayed to coincide with taxpayers’ week.
The fair will be held at all divisional towns and Upazilas.
Senior Tax official Syed A M'umen said that this year online tax-paying facilities will be a new attraction for the visitors.
