Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said on Tuesday Tk 433.33 billion of the Tk 750 billion revised ADP had been spent during July-April period of the 2014-15 FY.

He told reporters after a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) that the figure was Tk 90 billion more than what was spent in the same previous period.

In the July-April period of the previous FY, the government had spent Tk 345.57 billion, which was 54 percent of the allocation.

According to the minister, Tk 87.76 billion was spent in April alone taking the rate of ADP implementation to 56 percent from 44 percent.

The government had earmarked an ADP of Tk 803.13 billion but it was downsized to Tk 770 billion in February against the backdrop of ‘unsatisfactory’ implementation rate.
