South Korea shares intellectual property experiences with Bangladesh

South Korea has shared its experiences on development of intellectual property with Bangladesh government.

The embassy in Dhaka on Thursday said the event took place under the auspices of Korea’s Ministry of Strategy and Finance with support from the mission in Bangladesh.

Experts of the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and the Korea Institute of Intellectual Property (KIIP) have shared their experiences.

Stakeholders in intellectual property field, from scholars to government officials of the Ministry of Industries, Department of Patent, Designs and Trademarks, to managing directors of firms joined the event.

They made “policy recommendations” on development of intellectual property in Bangladesh, the embassy said in a statement.

This is a part of Korea’s programme that the its Ministry of Strategy and Finance launched in 2004.

The objective is to share the nation’s development know-how for co-prosperity with the partner countries through sharing experiences and working together.

To do so, the experts visit each country to share their experiences and provide training, if necessary, for the best outcome.

The programme waslaunched in Bangladesh in 2012.
