The NBR has requested the chambers and trade associations to submit their proposals for the new budget through the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) by Mar 5.

NBR First Secretary and Chief Budget Coordinator Abdus Samad Al Azad in a letter has also requested them to mail copies of the proposals to nbrbudget2015@gmail.com.

The organisations or offices that are not members of any chamber or association can also send their proposals for incorporation in the budget.

“We hope it will be possible to formulate a participatory, pro-people, industry and business-friendly as well as revenue-generating budget with the cooperation of all,” the NBR letter read.

It said like the previous years, the budget would be formulated in consultation with chambers, trade associations, professional bodies, research organisations and intellectuals to make the revenue collection activities ‘more meaningful analytic and representative’.
