The approval reached the Ministry of Labour of Saudi Arabia on Sunday, Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shahidul Islam said.
He said Ahmed F Alfahaid, deputy minister for international affairs at the Ministry of Labour, had informed him about the development over telephone.
Alfahaid said that a high-level Saudi delegation comprising representatives from the relevant ministries would visit Bangladesh probably in a week, according to the ambassador.
The delegation would formulate modalities of the recruitment, he said quoting the Saudi deputy minister.
Saudi Labour Minister Adel Fakeih, after a meeting with Bangladesh Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain on Jan 21, said it had decided to lift a 2008 ban on recruiting Bangladeshis.
The oil-rich kingdom still remains the largest manpower market for Bangladesh.
