Istiaque Ahmad next Petrobangla chairman
The Government has appointed Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Istiaque Ahmad as chairman of Petrobangla.

A Public Adminstration Ministry instruction assigned the 1984 BCS official Istiaque to the post on Wednesday.
He has been in the Cabinet Division for the last 11 years.

He will be replacing Professor Hossain Monsur, who was appointed as the chairman in Aug 2010.
An additional secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, Nazim Uddin Chowdhury, was given additional charge as chairman after Monsur’s term ended last Sunday.
In another order, Director of the Directorate of Primary Education Md Imran has been assigned as director of an Education Ministry project while OSD (on special duty) Joint Secretary Mohammad Abdul Mannan has been made chief of Primary and Mass Education Directorate.
