“Projects worth Tk 567.93 billion out of the Tk 600 billion allocated for the ADP for 2013-14 fiscal have been implemented. According to that the rate of implementation is 95 percent,” he told a press conference on Tuesday after a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC).

“It would have been more, if the country did not witness destructive political programmes like strike and blockades in the beginning of the fiscal,” he added.

The ADP for 2013-14 FY was set at Tk 658.70 billion, which was later revised to Tk 600 billion.

“ADP implementation of 25 ministries is more than 96 percent while in case of seven ministries it’s over 91 percent,” said Kamal.

According to the planning ministry, the local government and cooperative division, power division and ministry of disaster management and relief, expatriate welfare and overseas employment ministry, housing and public works ministry, civil aviation and tourism ministry and the defence ministry have implemented their total ADP allocations.

Rate of implementation of ADP allocation is 99 percent at the Roads division of the communication ministry, youth and sports ministry, livestock and fisheries ministry, science and technology ministry, primary and mass education ministry and ministries of home, religion, information and law.
