ADB appoints new Bangladesh chief
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has appointed Kazuhiko Higuchi as the new Country Director for Bangladesh, an ADB press release said Thursday.

He will replace Teresa Kho, who has moved to New Delhi as the head of its mission there.
Japanese national Higuchi joined the ADB in 1988 and was in Uzbekistan as ADB Country Director from 2009.
“Bangladesh is progressing fast and ADB will continue to make every effort to support Bangladesh’s endeavor toward exploiting its fullest potential,” the statement quoted Higuchi as saying.
