Dhaka, Nov 6 (bdnews24.com)—Abul Kalam Azad, press secretary to prime minister Sheikh Hasina, underwent an angioplasty and stenting at LabAid Hospital on Friday.

LabAid Hospital cardiac diseases specialist Dr APM Sohrabuzzaman performed the surgery upon Azad at 11am.

Mezbah Yazaad, chief information officer, LabAid Hospital, told bdnews24.com that Azad underwent the surgery and was out of any danger.

The patient was under observation at the coronary care unit of the hospital, he said.
