Speaking on Friday ahead of the third and final ODI against the visitors, the captain said the confidence of the team is intact.

On Wednesday, Afghanistan managed to halt the six-match winning streak of the Tigers by handing their hosts a two-wicket defeat.

"We do have confidence and we must hit the next match with confidence," Mashrafe said.

"I don't think losing one match obliterates the successes we have had in the past."

Mashrafe said they wanted to make a strong comeback in the last ODI. "We are disappointed. But that doesn't mean we have forgotten how we won the past matches.

"Having a bad day is natural not just in cricket, but in all other sports. But the match will be tougher if these thoughts remain with us. We are trying to be free our minds and play the game."
