Half an hour before the game began on Sunday, Sussex tweeted their squad for the match that had the Bangladeshi youngster in.

But later in another tweet, the county club confirmed that he would not be playing any part in the match.

"Mustafizur Rahman misses out of today's match as a precaution with a slight shoulder niggle," the club posted.

The left-arm seamer played his last 50-over game last November for Bangladesh. Since then it has all been about Twenty20s.

Having returned from the Indian Premier League with an injury, the 20-year-old could not play in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League either.

Injury also forced a delay in Mustafizur's trip to England.

But he was superb on debut for Sussex, taking 4-23 against Essex Eagles in the NatWest T20 Blast.

Sussex, however, lost their next match against Surrey with Mustafizur going wicketless in the T20 Blast tie.
