The youngster is expected to make his debut in the Natwest T20 Blast against Essex at Chelmsford on Thursday midnight Bangladesh Time.

The wily left-arm seamer spoke in an interview with the club with the help of an interpreter which was posted on the club's website.

"I am the first [Bangladeshi to play for] Sussex; I feel I’ve grown up a lot. I thank Sussex for having me," the 20-year-old sensation said.

"The weather is great. I've played in the IPL before this, it was very hot there but it's much cooler here.

"The seniors told me the wickets here are very good for pacers. It was great to hear and I was eagerly waiting when I would [come here and play]. It's also good for me.”

Sussex have only 10 points from 11 matches – no wonder they are reeling at seventh among the nine teams of the South Group points table in the T20 Blast.
