Bangladesh will face Scotland at the Saxton Oval in New Zealand’s Nelson on Thursday. The match will begin at 4am BdST.

Scotland hiring Jurgensen shows that they are now desperate to clinch the first win in their Cricket World Cup history by defeating the Tigers.

A photo of Jurgensen during a training session was tweeted by Cricket Scotland on Tuesday.

The step, a pleased captain Preston Mommsen said, will obviously help them to exploit some weaknesses of the Bangladeshi players, reports Espncricinfo.com.

He said it was a clever move and his team was eagerly waiting to work with the former Bangladesh coach who Mommsen said would be able to share some crucial information on the Tigers.

However, there was not any secrets left for Jurgensen to share, said Bangladesh Vice Captain Shakib.

He told reporters on Tuesday that everybody knew about everybody in world cricket nowadays.

“Most matches are broadcast live while analysis is done on everyone. All the teams have a moderate idea about individual players.”

He brushed off the idea of analysing the opponent team and make plans based on that.

“If planning was everything, people would have just planned and not played. What happens in the field is more important," he was further quoted by Espncricinfo.com as saying.
