Electing to bat, the visitors were restricted to 241 at the Fatulla Khan Shaheb Osmani Stadium on Monday.

The Africans were troubled by the BCB XI pacers and occasional spinners.

The BCB XI were 11 for one at stumps having lost opener Sadman Islam for a duck.

Shamsur Rahman (4) and Rony Talukder (7) were on the wicket.

Pacer Robiul Islam drew first blood for BCB XI when he bowled Zimbabwean opener Vusi Sibanda (8) in the third over of the innings.

Brian Chari (17) and Sikandar Raza (44) put 63 runs for the second wicket. Mehedi Hasan sent both of them back within just four runs to get his team back on track.

Captain Brendan Taylor (19) started strong before he was caught by Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury off Shuvashish Roy.

The BCB XI captain Naeem Islam took out Craig Ervine (5) and Hamilton Masakadza (24) followed just before tea break.

Naeem bowled all but one over with pacers in the first session. Shuvagata Hom bowled the only spin-over before lunch.

However, Naeem introduced spinners from both ends after the break.
After Malcolm Waller (8) was sent back by Naeem for his second wicket, Richmond Mutumbami (21) was caught and bowled by Marshall Ayub.

Elton Chigumbura (39) was taking the fight to the bowlers before Asif Ahmed trapped him leg before wicket.

The BCB XI could have finished things off in that over but Wellington Masakadza was let off by Marshall in the slip.

Brothers Shingirai and Wellington Masakadza put up some resistance before the former was sent back by Taibur Rahman.
