BCB names Bangladesh ‘A’ squad for Zimbabwe

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has named the Bangladesh ‘A’ squad for the opening four-day match against Zimbabwe ‘A’.

Only four Test cricketers have been included in the 14-man squad, BCB announced on Thursday with the captain’s name yet to be disclosed.

Sabbir Hossain is the only player, apart from four Test players - Raqibul Hasan, Naeem Islam, Shahadat Hossain and Marshall Ayub - who has played international cricket before.

Zimbabwe will arrive in Bangladesh on Wednesday to play two four-day matches and three one-dayers.

Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar is scheduled to host the opening match starting from Sept 14.

The second four-dayer will be at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah from Sept 21.

The Fatullah stadium will also host all three one-dayers.

Liton Das, Sadman Islam, Marshall Ayub, Farhad Hossain, Raqibul Hasan, Sabbir Rahman, Naeem Islam, Nurul Hasan, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Jubayer Hossain, Saqlayen Shajib, Shahadat Hossain, Mohammad Shahid, Mukter Ali.
