The allrounder has been cleared to play international matches and domestic cricket from Sept 15.

The decision was taken in a Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday.

BCB President Nazmul Hassan afterwards spoke to the reporters.

The all-rounder was suspended on July 7 for six months from all sorts of cricket for what the BCB described as a ‘severe attitude problem’.

Shakib was allegedly involved in a brawl with a spectator, who was allegedly harassing Shakib's wife in the grand stand of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, during the first ODI against India in June, 2014.

He violated rules by ‘leaving the team dressing room during the course of an international match’.

Moreover, he left to play for the Barbados Tridents in the Caribbean Premier League in July, allegedly without informing board officials and without obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the board – a claim he has denied.

He had found himself embroiled in further controversy after a dispute with coach Chandika Hathurusingha led to rumours of him threatening to retire from Test and one-day cricket.

The board had ordered Shakib back home on his way to Barbados taking all these things into account and slapped him with a six-month ban from cricket.

The board also had decided to provide no NOC to the allrounder for the next 18 months.

The 27-year-old later met BCB officials on July 20 to appeal against his ban.

BCB chief Nazmul Hassan later hinted at a reduced ban.

Bangladesh will face Zimbabwe in a home series in October-November while the 17th Asian Games will kick off on Sept 19.

Bangladesh are the current champions in Asiad cricket.
