Invited to bat first, the hosts racked up a challenging 247 on the back of Chris Gayle and Darren Bravo fifties.

The Caribbeans bowled brilliantly to deny Bangladesh batsmen any breathing space who lost too many wickets at the top.

Mystery spinner Sunil Narine was the man of the match for his figures of 3 for 13 on a slower pitch at the St George’s National Cricket Stadium.

Bangladesh’s 70 is the lowest team total at Grenada and also their second lowest total in ODIs.

The batting scorecard read a sorry story as apart from Tamim Iqbal – who knocked a 50-ball 37 – no other batsmen reached double figures.

They lost their last seven wickets for 13 runs to plunge into yet another series defeat.

It was Jason Holder who started it all with the wicket of Anamul Haque (7 off 21) in the fifth over.

Ravi Rampaul removed Imrul Kayes (1) and Kemar Roach snared the wicket of Shamsur Rahman (4) in no time.

Narine, wicketless in the first ODI, came on and used his variations to bamboozle the visitors who will be searching for their first win of the year in the final ODI on Aug 26.

He set the alarm bells ringing when he removed captain Mushfiqur Rahim for six and Mahmudullah for a duck off consecutive balls in the 16th over.

Tamim stood firm until the 17th over when he chipped Roach straight to Gayle at midwicket and saw five of his teammates coming in and leaving in a hurry.

The remaining four, after Tamim’s dismissal, added just 11 runs to surpass their lowest total of 58 they had scored against India and West Indies, and to extend their losing streak to 12 match in the year.

Narine picked up his third when Sohag Gazi (2) gave deep square leg a straightforward catch.

Pollard took a one-handed catch at short midwicket when Nasir Hossain (6) could not keep a half-hearted pull-shot down, making it 66 for 8.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was trapped lbw for two while the last wicket fell when Al-Amin Hossain was comically run-out, providing West Indies their largest victory over Bangladesh.

Earlier, the hosts got off to a shaky start as they lost opener Kirk Edwards with the score on 5.

Edward was gone for naught as Al-Amin Hossain’s short delivery cut in to hit the top of off-stump in the second over.

Bravo came in for quick recovery and added 88 runs together with Gayle. The partnership lasted 19.2 overs before the latter was caught at deep midwicket off a Mahmudullah delivery.

Gayle smashed five sixes and three fours on the way to his 58 off 67.

Sohag Gazi and Al-Amin then sent back Bravo (53) and Denesh Ramdin (34) respectively in quick succession.

But Lendl Simmons (40) and Kieron Pollard (26) fired a 43-ball-51 partnership for the fifth wicket to set the tourists the challenging target.

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was the best bowler for the hosts picking up three for 39.
