Acting chief executive of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nizamuddin Chowdhury said that cricket fans would get the opportunity to photograph the trophy on Friday.

“As part of the promotional campaign of the 2015 World Cup, the trophy is travelling to every participating country. The stopover in Bangladesh will be a part of that tour,” Nizamuddin said.

“The trophy will arrive at the BCB office first. Then we will put it up for display in a shopping mall,” he added.

The BCB later said in a press release on Wednesday that the trophy would be on display on the ground floor of the Bashundhara City Shopping Mall from 12pm to 8 pm on Friday.

The board official confirmed that the real trophy was coming, and not a replica. He also said there would be a photo session of the trophy at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium with Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim.
