The two sides will play two Tests and three one-days but the tour dates are yet to be confirmed, according to ESPNcricinfo.

PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) struck a deal with Sri Lanka Cricket on the sidelines of the ICC (International Cricket Council) executive board meeting in Dubai.

Pakistan, who deprived of international cricket at home because of security concerns, were facing a six-month drought of international cricket after the World Twenty20 in Bangladesh. But the Sri Lanka tour confirmation has reduced that spell.
The tour will be Sri Lanka's third within four months after the T20 World Cup. They will tour England in May and host South Africa in July before Pakistan's visit this year.
However, the series will kick off a busy season for Pakistan. They are scheduled to play Australia and New Zealand in the United Arab Emirates.
