They've arranged a two weeks' training camp in Pakistan to prepare for their inaugural participation in flagship event of international cricket.

Afghanistan stunned the cricket world with an upset in the Asia Cup last month when they overcame hosts Bangladesh. The Afghans are tied in the same group with Bangladesh in the World Cup next year.

Kabir Khan, the Afghanistan coach, acknowledged that a two-week camp will begin in Karachi on April 15. Former Pakistan captains Aamer Sohail and Rashid Latif will assist them.

Sohail will lend a hand with the batting, while Latif will work with the wicket-keepers.

Afghanistan coach said his side will be in their best shape for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand as they have much cricket to play ahead of it.

The infant Asian side, which recently entered ICC's one-day team with 12th ranking, had confirmed its spot in the 2015 World Cup last October.

Consequently, ICC gave them $1 million grant in return. Additionally, ICC plan to arrange for them a camp in Australia and New Zealand towards the end of this year.

"We've played well in the Asia Cup where we beat hosts Bangladesh. But our batsmen couldn't take the pressure in the T20 World Cup," Kabir said.

Afghanistan will take on Bangladesh in their opening World Cup match on February 18 next year.
