A statement by the health ministry on Thursday said that the decision was taken considering the future of the students at these institutions.

Last Sunday, Minister Mohammed Nasim instructed authorities to suspend academic activities of Rangpur’s Northern Medical College, Gazipur’s City Medical College and Nightingale Medical College at Ashulia for violating rules.

The suspension has been lifted, but the order, which barred them from taking in new students, remains in force.
