The grade point average (GPA) needed for DU admission last year minus the fourth subject has been revised -- similar grade including the fourth subject  has been set as the benchmark for applying for admission this year.
Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique on Wednesday told bdnews24.com: "We have taken into consideration the HSC results which were not as good as last year. So we are allowing inclusion of fourth subject to meet the required GPA."
The success rate in this year’s HSC exams has dropped to 69.60 percent from last year's 78.33 percent.
A total of 42,894 students scored GPA-5 against 70,602 in 2014.
The university earlier on Wednesday also decided the dates of the admission tests, and collection and submission of the forms.
According to a media statement, the students will be able to apply online for the admission to Bachelor’s with Honours course in 2015-16 educational year from Aug 24 to Sept 10.

The points earned in the fourth or optional subjects will be counted in all these total grade points.
