As the date of the fifth convocation was fixed on Feb 5, the time to register was extended until 2pm, Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique said in a notice issued on Thursday.

The registration forms could be collected and submitted during the upcoming winter vacation except on Fridays, the notice said.

The university’s fifth convocation was pushed back to Feb 5 from Jan 31.

Those willing to attend the convocation will need to pay Tk 1,500 for Honours degrees. The same amount will also be charged for postgraduate degrees.

However, those applying for both would be charged Tk 2,500.

The fee for MPhil is Tk 2,500 and it is Tk 3,000 for PhD.

Those who had registered for the convocation in 2012 will not have to do so for the upcoming convocation. That year’s convocation had been cancelled.

The fourth convocation of the university was held in 2010. The first convocation of the university, established in 1970, took place in 1996.
