A decision to this effect was taken at a Syndicate meeting on Wednesday night, its member Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed told bdnews24.com.

“Though initially three were selected, later Sayeba Jerin and Masum Sheikh have been dropped for not fulfilling the criteria of the recruitment,” he said.

However, one Hafsa Aktar has been selected for the job for meeting the pre-requisites.

The university’s top decision-making body acted a day after bdnews24.com ran a report headlined “Below-par poised to teach at Dhaka University”.
