The 'G' unit entry test, initially scheduled for Thursday, will be held on Friday, a CU media statement on Wednesday said.

Jamaat has called a nationwide shutdown for Thursday, Sunday and Monday in protest against its chief Motiur Rahman Nizami's death sentence for war crimes.

CU admission tests for 'E' unit, originally scheduled for Nov 2, will now be held on Nov 4.

Nov 4 entry tests for 'B-2' to 'B-7' units have been rescheduled to Nov 6.

Away in Gazipur, the National University (NU) has cancelled all examinations during Jamaat's strike.

In a media statement, the NU said it would announce new dates for the cancelled examinations in newspapers and on its website.

There has been no decision yet on the Junior School Certificate examinations.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid did not clarify if JSC and JDC examinations, scheduled for Sunday and Monday, would be deferred.

The JSC examinations is slated for a Nov 2 start.

"We have not considered deferring exams," Nahid told reporters on Wednesday.
