Tahsin Chowdhury led Students First (SF) to victory at the elections for the Scarborough Campus Students’ Union (SCSU) held in February.
He bagged 1101 votes, 67 percent of the ballots available, to be elected president. His closest contender Habiba Desai of New Political Student Party (NPSP) trailed way behind him with just 369 votes.
All the incumbent members of his team have been re-elected to fill 15 of the 17 executive and directorial positions for 2014–2015, writes The Varsity, the university’s student newspaper.
Tahsin is the son of Jashimuddin Chowdhury and Kaniz Chowdhury.
