Foreign Secretary Haque meets USTR official Linscott
Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque has met Assistant United States Trade Representative for South and Central Asian Affairs Mark Linscott on the last day of his visit to Washington.

During the meeting held in the USTR Office on Wednesday,, they discussed the possibility of making the platform of the Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum Agreement (TICFA) “more effective”.
Haque referred to the removal of special paragraph on Bangladesh by ILO in the recently held meeting of its Committee of Experts for Application of Standards (CAS) in Geneva in recognition and appreciation of the significant progress made by Bangladesh.
He expressed hope that the US would also appreciate the same and extend duty-free quota-free access to Bangladeshi products.
Haque also had a courtesy meeting with Kristina Arriaga de Bucholz, Vice Chair United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).
