BTRC team accompanied by RAB, police enters Citycell Headquarters
A team of Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC), accompanied by RAB and police, has entered the offices of Citycell, following the announcement on closing down the company because of its inability to clear its outstanding dues.

BTRC Director (Enforcement) Yakub Ali Bhuiyan was seen entering the Citycell Headquarters Pacific Centre in Mohakhali around 4:45pm on Thursday.
A few police and RAB officers accompanied him, while others stood guard outside.
Officials offered no comment about the team’s purpose.
Meanwhile, State Minister for Post and Telecommunications Tarana Halim has called an emergency press conference.
The conference is scheduled to take place at the BTRC offices at 6pm.
Officials made no comment about the issues to be raised at the press conference.
