“Come up with creative ideas, we are ready to help”, he told a gathering of about 300 representatives of various organizations that are already working or willing to work in the field of digital marketing in Bangladesh.

Addressing the 'Digital Marketing' conclave organised by Biopi Leo Burnett and Mighty Byte at the Krishibid Institute auditorium in Dhaka on Monday, Palak said, "If you have any creative idea, come to us. We will help you in developing the product and getting it to the global level with financial support".

He said that the government would soon set up an "Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy" to encourage designers and digital creativity.

The day-long seminar witnessed discussions on various aspects of digital marketing, such as social media marketing, mobile marketing, content marketing and real time marketing.

Palak was the chief guest at the event, which was jointly organised by the advertising agencies Biopi Leo and Mighty Byte.

He said that there were always new openings in the digital marketing front and some 60 million internet users of the country were benefitting from such openings.

“Our government's responsibility is to create a digital platform and get a targeted audience connected", he added.

He said that the government had been concentrating on three core areas for the development of digital marketing in the country, namely, availability, affordability and awareness, and to achieve the goal the government was partnering with many non-government organizations, he added.

Palak observed that the traditional media were leaning towards "new media" and churning out a lot of online content, advertisements and live streaming videos.

"There are several organizations in our country that are working locally. With their home-turf experience, they are now looking to reaching the global arena", he said.

He said that the government intended to employ ICT in healthcare services, business and commerce and in the provision of safety and security.

Norman Wagner, director of Mediacom Beyond Advertising of Germany, delivered the keynote speech at the seminar.

He discussed several key areas of Digital data and also exhibited various advertising campaigns undertaken by his firm.

Hando Sinisalu, Managing Director, Best Marketing International, discussed various facets of digital marketing strategies of various international organizations.

Nousher Rahman, Biopi Digital Marketing Director, told bdnews24.com that the seminar had been a meeting ground of leading digital marketing strategists who shared their tools and techniques at the gathering.

Biopi's Sarah Ali said that the seminar would, from now on, become an annual event in Bangladesh.
